About the UiTM CGPA Calculator
Largest public university in Malaysia. Uses the IPTA 4.0 scale for semester GPA and cumulative CGPA.
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) — Malaysia's largest public university, with its main campus in Shah Alam and branches nationwide — grades on the national IPTA 4.0 scale. UiTM students watch their HPNM/CGPA closely for PTPTN compliance, MARA sponsorship renewals, and Dean's List (Anugerah Dekan). This calculator loads the official IPTA grade table printed on UiTM result slips. Wrong scale? Tell us — or browse more Malaysia calculators.
What UiTM students should know
UiTM runs diploma through PhD programmes, and credit structures differ sharply between faculties — a diploma in accountancy and a degree in engineering do not carry the same SKS loads. Continuous assessment (tests, assignments, presentations) plus final exams combine into one letter grade per course on your UiTM student portal. If you are repeating a subject, confirm with your faculty whether UiTM's current policy replaces the old grade in your CGPA.
How to use this calculator
- Open Semester GPA and enter each subject with SKS exactly as shown on your UiTM result slip.
- Use IPTA letters: A (80–100) = 4.00, A- (75–79) = 3.67, B+ (70–74) = 3.33, down to F (below 40) = 0.00.
- Switch to CGPA for your cumulative average across all completed semesters.
- Scholarship and sponsorship renewals need official UiTM transcripts — this tool is for planning, not certification.
UiTM grading system
UiTM follows the Malaysian IPTA 4.0 scale: A = 4.00, A- = 3.67, B+ = 3.33, B = 3.00, B- = 2.67, C+ = 2.33, C = 2.00, C- = 1.67, D = 1.00, F = 0.00. The fractional points (.67/.33) catch students out — a B+ at UiTM is 3.33, not 3.30 as on some private-university scales.
The math behind semester GPA and cumulative CGPA is the same across most universities — see our CGPA formula guide for a worked example. For broader planning tips, read the complete CGPA guide on the homepage or browse student articles on the blog.
Percentage conversion
UiTM result slips show grades and CGPA, not percentage marks. PNGK × 25 is a common informal estimate among Malaysian students, but UiTM does not certify it — get an official conversion letter from your campus academic office for formal applications.
