What RUET students should know
RUET engineering programmes stack mathematics, drawing, workshop, and lab courses in parallel — credit totals often exceed general university loads. Sessionals, midterms, and finals combine into one letter grade per course. A single F in a 3-credit core can move CGPA sharply; model recovery before registration if you are targeting placement or higher-study cut-offs.

RUET grading system
RUET follows the UGC Standard Grading System. Maximum grade point is 4.00 (A+). Engineering faculties treat below 40% as failure (0.00 points). Because RUET credit loads are high, one C+ in a 3-credit mathematics course affects CGPA more than the same grade in a 1-credit humanities elective.

Percentage conversion
RUET transcripts emphasise letter grades and CGPA rather than percentage marks. Multiply CGPA by 25 only as an informal estimate — verify with your department before submitting official forms.
