What JU students should know
JU runs a residential semester system where many students live on campus year-round. Theory papers, practicals, and viva components may carry different credit weights — pull credits from your registration card, not from a senior's old syllabus. Drama and fine arts courses sometimes include performance assessments that feed one final letter grade; enter that published letter here. JU grading system
JU follows the UGC Standard Grading System on a 4.0 scale. An A+ (80% and above) earns 4.00 grade points, while a D at 40–44% still carries 2.00 points — failing grades below 40% score 0.00. Because JU hosts competitive programmes in arts and sciences, small differences between B+ and A- (0.25 points) matter on merit lists where cut-offs are tight.

Percentage conversion
